Case of Hosui Asian Pear (12 count)
About this product
Hosui Asian Pears are a relatively new cultivar that was developed in Japan in the 1970s. They are considered a dessert pear that is primarily eaten fresh but can also be used in cooked preparations. Hosui roughly translates to "much water," which describes the fruit's juicy flesh. Hosui Asian pear has a lovely golden-russet skin that is slightly more acidic than other Asian pear varieties, resulting in a complex, sweet and tangy flavor with a brandy-like undertone. Best for eating raw, but also makes delicious pies!
