For cooking. Syrups are frequently used in Korean cooking. Oligo rice syrup, (or Oligodang) is oligosaccharide. While similar to corn syrup, oligodang is less sweet, contains more fiber than corn syrup, and helps with colon health. For these reasons, many Koreans prefer oligodang to corn syrup.
Oligo typically consists of a helpful bacteria called bifidobacteria that helps with digestion. However, bifidobacteria is destroyed on high heat - this Oligo is optimized for use in cooking.
