Mama Lam's was born and raised in Ulu Yam, a town outside of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and started curry pastes and hot sauces after moving to NYC and missing Malaysian cuisine. Mama Lam's is a Queens, NYC based company with a line of Malaysian curry pastes and hot sauces all from Mama Lam's family recipe. All products are cooked and jarred in NYC.

Mama Lam was born and raised in Ulu Yam, a town outside of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In 1985, Mama Lam had the opportunity to join one of her older sisters in America, and she soon moved to Queens in NYC. Back in the 80s, there were very few Malaysians that immigrated to America, and Mama Lam decided to learn how to make her own curry paste to be able to have her favorite Malaysian dishes in NY. Ever since then, she’s been making curry paste and hot sauce for herself and her family to enjoy for years.
