Organic Kyoto Carrots are an heirloom Japanese variety with shiny, smooth skin, bright red flesh, and a sweet, almost caramelized flavor that will enhance any dish. Traditionally eaten on the Japanese New Year, often carved into the shape of a plum blossom to symbolize fertility in the coming year. Kyoto carrots have a wonderful texture and a sweet, slightly watermelon flavor.
