Tiger Figs, which are only in season for a few weeks, are stunning both inside and out. The striated lime-green skin conceals garnet-colored meat stippled with tiny seeds. No other fig has meat as bright red and beautiful as this one. Tiger fig flesh has a tinge of tartness to it, which gives its bright flavors and sets them apart from most other brown figs.
