Diaspora Co. Pragati Turmeric

Diaspora Pragati Turmeric is a spice found in South Asian and Middle Eastern dishes. This brightly spice packs a punch of color. A little goes a long way to add excitement to poultry, meats, seafood, vegetables and rice. It is an essential ingredient to curries and mustards.

This turmeric was grown by the Kasaraneni family amidst marigolds, bananas, and black rice on their 3rd generation farm in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. Mr. Kasaraneni’s family has been farming for three generations, and he is a self taught organic farmer who began growing heirloom Pragati turmeric in 2015, with assistance from the Indian Institute of Spice Research.
