About this product
This boneless short rib is a very fatty cut that is perfect for those who enjoy a rich and marbled cut of meat. It is sliced thin to use for gyudon, shabu shabu, and hot pot. Since short ribs come from the section between the rib and the chuck, it combines flavors and textures of both - rich marbling of rib steaks with the deep beefy flavor of chuck roast. Short plate and boneless short rib can be used as substitutes, as both cuts have great marbling and a very tender texture.
How it ships:
This sliced beef short plate is vacuum-sealed for freshness. Vacuum sealed packaging removes most of the oxygen from the bag, which can temporarily turn the meat a dark red color. Not to worry! The meat will return to its original color in 15-20 after it is taken out of the vacuum-sealed bag and exposed again to oxygen.
We safely package all our meats with eco-friendly insulation designed to keep your meat within the optimal temperature range for well over the time that it stays in transit.
We suggest that you refrigerate or freeze your meat as soon as it arrives, but no stress if you are not around; your box will stay cold until around midnight on the day it arrives.
